Photo to be used in magazine style cover

OtherPosted by Nic Baxter Thu, November 13, 2008 11:29PM

For a school poster project I am using one of my photos, to replicate a magazine cover, for our graphic design course at school. I also had interest from a friend who wanted to use the photos for a mood board of research.

In other news, I may be back at Chicksands at the weekend taking photos for the same poster, depending on the weather of course.

Thanks

Website updatesPosted by Nic Baxter Thu, October 30, 2008 10:33AM

I was fed up with how the website used to look, so I went ahead and created a whole new design from scratch. It is designed to be simple yet elegant and easy to read. Hope you enjoy and as ever if somethings not working, contact webmaster@nicbaxterimages.com

I visited the gallery to attend the awards on wednesday. I am really pleased with how my print looks, and its good to see what standard other people of my age are at, and its certainly good to see theres stiff competition around...

Thanks

CompetitionsPosted by Nic Baxter Tue, October 21, 2008 10:51PM

Through my school I was told about a photography competition for under 18's, for the charity Sight Savers. I entered my photo of a bird with a chicks head in its beak, which is the last photo in my 'Birds' gallery. I was then extremely surprised to see an email from the charity, informing me I had come Highly Commended in my catagory.

On Wednesday the 22nd, there is to be an awards evening, and my picture will be on display at Londons Oxo Gallery from 22 - 26 October 2008.

Thanks

Chicksands 4x

EventsPosted by Nic Baxter Tue, October 21, 2008 10:42PM

On Sunday I went down to Chicksands to shoot the 4x event. The competitors down there were friendly as ever, and I met a couple of other photographers who'd also come down to shoot the event.

I'll have the photos up for tomorrow (Wednedsay), and of course well done to all who took part.

Thanks
